On club days you will start playing each game with a partner. The club operates a draw system so you get a chance to play with many different partners. Coaching from more experienced players will rapidly develop your ability both in terms of striking the ball consistently and understanding the tactics of the game.
Many players are happy just to enjoy our club days with time for a chat and to admire the beautiful Yorkshire scenery. The club has always been involved in friendly matches and from 2009 in league matches against other clubs in the Yorkshire Croquet Federation. Whether matches are friendly or league, they are still very social ending the day with tea and excellent cake.
Individual players also play in various tournaments around Yorkshire and further afield which are organised based on players abilities
