The croquet club started as an Ilkley University of the Third Age ( U3A) group in 2006 and played initially at Ilkley Tennis Club and then from 2008 at Burley Cricket Club. The group rapidly prospered and in 2011 moved to Ben Rhydding Sports Club where it became a section of that club. The link with the U3A is still strong and since 2012 we have held annual coaching courses for U3A members which have increased interest in the sport
