Dulwich Croquet Club currently has 3 full sized croquet lawns, all prepared to international standards. We play all year round.

Croquet is a captivating sport that combines skill, strategy and a touch of finesse,
likened to a combination of snooker and chess played on a grassy field! It can be
played as a singles or doubles game.
The Sports Club has embarked upon an exciting new development to provide 4 padel courts, and as a consequence the croquet section’s lawns will be moved, such that we will have 2 fully irrigated and well-drained lawns, further facilitating winter play.
There is an active social scene with a vibrant, fully licensed clubhouse and well-equipped kitchen. All sections of the club use these facilities and in particular during the summer croquet season we have a great reputation for providing lunch for visiting clubs when we play league matches.
Croquet means fun!
We’re always keen to meet new players and to introduce them to croquet. Whether you’re an absolute novice or if you’ve played before in the back garden, we have in-house training sessions to suit you.
We are dedicated to providing an exceptional experience for beginners, ensuring that your introduction to croquet is both enjoyable and rewarding, preparing you to run hoops with the best!
People of all ages and levels of ability are welcome to try a game. You’ll be welcomed by one of our helpful members and shown the game in a friendly environment to learn and grow in this fascinating sport.
Come along and have a go – we have a stock of mallets and other equipment for you to try, and we’ll give you the basic instruction you’ll need. There is no dress code for informal play – all you need is a pair of flat-soled shoes.
We regularly play two forms of croquet, Golf Croquet and Association Croquet. Both have regular weekly social sessions. Association Croquet (AC) is the original version of the sport and Golf Croquet (GC) is the most popular version of the game and is played by all croquet clubs in England. Compared with Association Croquet it has simpler rules and is more interactive but it requires a similar level of accuracy and tactical awareness.

If you’d like a free introductory session, here’s how to contact us.
