Mary Moore writes: Whilst their husbands were busy bowling 20 Leicestershire ladies descended on our Croquet Club last Thursday to learn the rudiments of croquet.
None of the ladies had played before so as you can imagine it was great fun, with some slight frustration at times, accompanied by laughter echoing round the courts.
5 members from our club volunteered to help for which we are eternally grateful. So 4 ladies were allocated to each volunteer, a perfect number.
The ladies comment after the event that having visited Gt Yarmouth, Kings Lynn, Cromer and Sheringham on previous days was “It was definitely one of the highlights of our week”
