Open Day 17 May 2025

Ronnie working hard setting up tea and coffee. Celebration croquet cake added to fun day.

Beautiful day in Eaton Park for people to come and try this fabulous game.

COME AND TRY

As part of our efforts to recruit new members to the club we are holding two free “come and try” sessions during National Croquet Week, one on  Saturday 17th May from 2pm and the other on Thursday 22nd May from 6pm.

FRIDAY EVENING SOCIAL

Alan and Geraldine hosted a social evening with play starting at 5:30 pm and supper at 6:30 pm. Yes, it was a table set for 2 with a ricotta and spring green lemon pasta and a rhubarb tart washed down with a glass of pino grigio. Hopefully as the summer progresses, members with join us.

It was a lovely evening and we enjoyed our close matches. We left at about 7:45 pm. The park is so peaceful and we feel so lucky to have this wonderful club to use.

Spring Clean

Ronnie & Paul Gilbert and Geraldine Gold gave the club house a spring clean and a good sort out in preparation for the coming season. We still have the equipment and store rooms to do but the main rooms are ready for the Coffee Morning next Tuesday.

Beautiful sunny day for Croquet Social BBQ

Mary Moore and her team hosted a fabulous day at the club. Peter and Sarah did a fine job on the barbecue, while members tried to hit the bulls eye and learn new croquet games such as Pirate and Ricochet.
