One-Ball croquet for charity

Ten players convened at the club on Bank Holiday Monday in August to play a one-ball competition with all playing all during the day. Handicaps ranged from 2.5 to 24 which was an interesting range. The day was fine and sunny, the atmosphere happy and new club members not playing came along to watch and learn.

The event was won by local member Ken Knock who had a handicap of 24 which often provided him with 7.5 extra turns to complete the 13 point course.

Pictured are most of the players who competed and represented clubs from Downham Market, Huddersfield, Norwich and Peterborough.
